The Slip Slop Slappers

Story

Hi friends and family,
I have decided to make a difference by creating my very own fundraising page for Melanoma March. Through here you can easily support my efforts by making a secure donation. I would also really appreciate it if you could share my page or comment so more people know about it.
As you know, in 2014 I was diagnosed with aggressive malignant melanoma. I was so lucky, my dermatologist found it pretty early. A big chunk of my thigh was cut out by a plastic surgeon and then there was the painful wait to find out whether the cancer had spread into my bloodstream. We caught it early, one margin had been broken so I spent the next two years scared that it would spread into other parts of my body. It is now 2018 and the melanoma has not spread. I feel blessed every day.
I am hacked at regularly. I still get worried about my results. I had skin checks every 3 months for 2 years. Now I get skin checks every 6 months and mole mapping annually.
Please, I urge you to get your skin looked at by a dermatologist. I also urge you to make sure your kids' skin in protected (sun-cream is not enough). I just want the word to get out. Melanoma does not discriminate.  My dermatologist has diagnosed melanoma in people with all different skin tone.
I would love if you could donate a small amount of money to help find a cure for this horrible cancer. If you can't donate I appreciate that you read this post and hopefully it will encourage you to spread the word and look after yourself and your loved ones.

Thanks so much for your support!
